Cat-sitting service in Windsor, Ascot and East-Berkshire
• Your cat, cared for directly by me, Alexis Hunter.
• Personal service; no agency staff.
Yes, cats are independent. And of course, there are innovative cat-feeding solutions out there. But a mechanical cat-feeder can’t spot if your cat is unwell, or provide fresh water. It can’t offer a cuddle or companionship. And even a kindly neighbour is unlikely to have the time, expertise and experience to give your cat the same level of care that you do. My cat-sitting service is designed to give caring cat owners like you, total peace of mind.
Enjoy your holiday or weekend break with the reassurance your beloved cat is being thoroughly cared for while you’re away. Reduce the worry caused by long working hours, safe in the knowledge your cat is being fed and looked after. Take a well-earned respite break if your cat is unwell or very dependent, by trusting someone with specialist skills and unwavering dedication to pets in their care.
A cat-alogue of experience
Whether you’re looking for ongoing daily cat-sitting, weekend or holiday cat sitting or occasional support, I can help. I’ll visit twice a day. Keep on top of feeding and emptying litter trays. Monitor and check your cat, to make sure they’re okay. And if any additional support is needed such as vet visits; I can handle this too.
You’ll be feline good…
Just like you, your cat has feelings. And just like people, every cat is different. Routines, levels of dependence, emotional need and care, will differ from pet to pet. So I make sure I get to know your cat from the outset of our relationship. Through a face to face meeting, I’ll take the time to become familiar with your pet and gain trust, as well as explore your requirements and your pet’s routines.

What my customers say…
Alexis is the best cat sitter.
I’d have no problem recommending her to look after anyone’s cat due to her professionalism and dedication.
Professionally minded cat sitter
For the last four years we have been happy to leave our keys with Alexis knowing that when we are away, our cat gets fed and watered. Alexis understands and appreciates the trust her clients place in her. I am eternally grateful that she is such a caring, professionally minded cat sitter and I am delighted to recommend her to my Windsor neighbours.
Great experience for us and our cat.
Alexis is knowledgeable, super professional, prepared for all circumstances and clearly loves cats. She didn’t hesitate administering daily medication to our aging cat, Meu. We received a daily update and videos every day while we were away. We are always a bit hesitant leaving Meu behind, but now we know Alexis, we think Meu will look forward to it!
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alexis to any pet lover
Alexis provides a very professional cat sitting service for us and we feel very comfortable with Alexis feeding our dear cat Poppy when we are away. The copious updates we get on each feed, including notes on behaviour, pictures and videos, are very welcome and extremely reassuring. With previous feeders we have used it can be a worry that there was possibly a mix-up with the dates, but getting updates on the first and last feeds means we can be assured that Poppy has been fed as needed. From the messages we receive one can tell that Alexis loves the pets under her care and we can tell she loves Poppy and is thrilled when he sits on her lap.
We are so happy we found Alexis before we went on holiday
We were so worried about leaving our frail elderly cat & 2 younger boys. They were in safe expert hands though, and it was most reassuring to receive texts, photos and videos every day. We now feel able to leave our cats knowing they will be looked after by a lovely cat loving lady.
I’m Alexis Hunter
The first thing you need to know about me, is that I simply love cats. To me what I do is a vocation, a calling; not just a function or job.

Being a cat-lover means that no cat will ever be too much trouble. I consider all cats wonderful; no matter what their background, looks, behaviours, routines, level of health and personality quirks.
And most importantly, I’ll consider your cat to be my highest priority when under my care.

FAQs
Q. Do I have to sign up to a long-term package? I’m going on a long break and really just need temporary help.
Absolutely! My cat-sitting service is flexible around your requirements and we can agree cat-sitting over whatever period you require. Just call me to talk through your needs.
Q. I know other people use mechanical cat-feeders when they go on holiday, what are the benefits of having a personal cat-sitting service instead?
Mechanical cat-feeders serve a purpose and lots of people are comfortable with them. Personally, as a cat-owner myself, I feel that regularly replaced fresh water as well as someone to look out for my cat’s wellbeing would give me more peace of mind. Some of my customers feel that their cat needs some affection and familiarity while they are away which is where I can add real value. If you would like to discuss the benefits and how I can help in more detail, please give me a call.
Q. How long do you spend at each house during your visit?
Normally a visit lasts for approximately 20 minutes – this can vary depending on the needs of your cat – every cat is different. My absolute priority is quality of care and service, and therefore I will never overload my schedule with too many visits. This means I can take the time to do what’s required to meet the needs of your feline friend.
Q. Do you look after other pets?
Whilst I have a Small Animal first aid qualification and have experience in caring for different pets, this service is a specialist one for cats only. That enables me to focus singularly on your cat’s needs and not bring any other pet smells into your environment that may upset your cat.
Q. How much do you charge for a visit?
Please see Windsor Cat Sitting website for pricing.
Q. What happens with my keys?
Once your keys are collected they will be securely held and returned to you within 7 days of your return. Please ensure the set of keys given to your cat carer is not needed immediately on your return.
Q. What if my cat becomes unwell or is involved in an accident whilst I’m away?
I will provide immediate first aid and communicate with you in the first instance and if I am unable to I will contact your emergency contact person. In a critical situation I will transport your cat to your vet or emergency Veterinary Hospital for examination and treatment.
At the time of your initial booking I will provide you with a Veterinary Release Form which you will need to complete and sign. This will allow your vet to provide treatments and recognise I am acting on your behalf for the welfare of your cat. I would recommend you email your vet before your trip to inform them a cat carer from Windsor Cat Sitting will be looking after the well-being of your feline friend.
Q. Can you medicate my cat with tablet or injection?
I can medicate your cat in tablet form and by injection (diabetic cats only).
Q. What if insufficient food or litter has been left for my cat?
I will shop for food and litter and where possible the same brands purchased: there is an addition fee of £5 per shopping trip plus cost of purchases: I will advise you of this at the time if the situation arises.
Q. What is the process if making a booking for the first time?
Complete the enquiry form or email me with your requirements.
I will meet with you and your cat in your own home. It is important at this stage you are happy with your cat’s response to me and the service I will be providing you with.
There will be forms to complete which reflect our all agreements and my service to you and your cat.
