Windsor Cat Sitting

Yes, cats are independent. And of course, there are innovative cat-feeding solutions out there. But a mechanical cat-feeder can’t spot if your cat is unwell, or provide fresh water. It can’t offer a cuddle or companionship. And even a kindly neighbour is unlikely to have the time, expertise and experience to give your cat the same level of care that you do. My cat-sitting service is designed to give caring cat owners like you, total peace of mind.

Enjoy your holiday or weekend break with the reassurance your beloved cat is being thoroughly cared for while you’re away. Reduce the worry caused by long working hours, safe in the knowledge your cat is being fed and looked after. Take a well-earned respite break if your cat is unwell or very dependent, by trusting someone with specialist skills and unwavering dedication to pets in their care.

A cat-alogue of flexible services

Whether you’re looking for ongoing daily cat-sitting, weekend or holiday cat sitting or occasional support, I can help. I’ll visit twice a day. Keep on top of feeding and emptying litter trays. Monitor and check your cat, to make sure they’re okay. And if any additional support is needed such as vet visits; I can handle this too.

You’ll be feline good…

Jane Powell

"MY cats mean the world to me, so I was very nervous about leaving them with someone I did not know. But a friend of mine recommended Alexis of Windsor Cat Sitting. When I first spoke to Alexis I was immediately reassured that she was the right person to take care of my beloved cats, as Alexis her demeanor was very caring and very informative. I would definitely use Alexis again and I would recommend her to my friends."

Sharon Irons – Windsor

"Alexis provides a professional, reliable and friendly service. She clearly loves cats and cares for each cat's individual needs. Alexis provides various care packages and worked hard to put together the best value package for us. From the moment we met Alexis we knew she was the right person to look after our precious cat. She is a lovely, friendly lady and our normally timid cat warmed to her very quickly! Alexis provided entertaining updates after each visit which allowed us to enjoy a relaxing holiday, knowing that our cat was receiving the best care at home. I would not hesitate to use Alexis again and would highly recommend her to any cat parent!!"

Karen Field

Alexis is wonderful. The other reviews are all accurate she genuinely does really care for all cats and I feel completely confident leaving my ‘fur baby’ in her care. Very professional service, the best I’ve experienced. Alexis sent me daily updates and videos reassuring me my cat is being well taken care of, eating well and most importantly safe, happy and secure. He is quite a timid cat and doesn’t take to people easily, however, Alexis made friends with him from the first initial visit and has clearly gained his trust. Alexis also checked we were home from holiday on time just in case our cat still needed her care. I have used Alexis cat sitting services several times now and I will continue to do so, I would recommend her 100%. Alexis is a genuine animal lover, who understands how it feels from a pet owners point of view as well as meeting your cats individual needs. Alexis is a God send to all fellow cat owners, I am so happy I found her.

Noelle McNelis

We are so happy we found Alexis before we went on holiday. We were so worried about leaving our frail elderly cat & 2 younger boys. They were in safe expert hands though, and it was most reassuring to receive texts, photos and videos every day. We now feel able to leave our cats knowing they will be looked after by a lovely cat loving lady.

I’m Alexis Hunter

The first thing you need to know about me, is that I simply love cats. To me what I do is a vocation, a calling; not just a function or job.

I have a professional background in business. But in recent years I’ve made my love of cats my business. It’s a way that I can – and do – make a difference. I’m driven every day by offering the highest quality of professional standards that cat-sitting can offer.

In some ways, through looking after your cat/s, I’m looking after you too. I’ll enable you to get on with your working life and holidays, without having to worry that your treasured pet is being neglected in any way.

Being a cat-lover means that no cat will ever be too much trouble. I consider all cats wonderful; no matter what their background, looks, behaviours, routines, level of health and personality quirks.

And most importantly, I’ll consider your cat to be my highest priority when under my care.

FAQs

Q. Do I have to sign up to a long-term package? I’m going on a long break and really just need temporary help.

Absolutely! My cat-sitting service is flexible around your requirements and we can agree cat-sitting over whatever period you require. Just call me to talk through your needs.

Q. I know other people use mechanical cat-feeders when they go on holiday, what are the benefits of having a personal cat-sitting service instead?

Mechanical cat-feeders serve a purpose and lots of people are comfortable with them. Personally, as a cat-owner myself, I feel that regularly replaced fresh water as well as someone to look out for my cat’s wellbeing would give me more peace of mind. Some of my customers feel that their cat needs some affection and familiarity while they are away which is where I can add real value. If you would like to discuss the benefits and how I can help in more detail, please give me a call.

Q. How long do you spend at each house during your visit?

Normally a visit lasts for approximately 20 minutes – this can vary depending on the needs of your cat – every cat is different. My absolute priority is quality of care and service, and therefore I will never overload my schedule with too many visits. This means I can take the time to do what’s required to meet the needs of your feline friend.

Q. Do you look after other pets?

Whilst I have a Small Animal first aid qualification and have experience in caring for different pets, this service is a specialist one for cats only. That enables me to focus singularly on your cat’s needs and not bring any other pet smells into your environment that may upset your cat.

Q. How much do you charge for a visit?

I offer a variety of different packages and therefore the price will depend on your needs. If your requirements don’t sit exactly inside these packages, that’s no problem, I’ll work around you.

Q. What happens with my keys

Your keys will be collected from you during our initial thirty-minute consultation when I meet you and your cat at your home. Your keys will be coded and securely locked when not in use. When you email me to let me know you have arrived safely home after your trip, your keys will be returned to you within two days of you returning home.

Q. What if my cat becomes unwell or is involved in an accident whilst I’m away

I will provide immediate first aid and communicate with you in the first instance and if I am unable to I will contact your emergency contact person. In a critical situation I will transport your cat to your vet or emergency Veterinary Hospital for examination and treatment – Windsor Cat Sitting will stay with your cat for as long as necessary.

At the time of your initial booking I will provide you with a Veterinary Release Form which you will need to complete and sign. This will allow your vet to provide treatments and recognise I am acting on your behalf for the welfare of your cat. I would recommend you email your vet before your trip to inform them a cat carer from Windsor Cat Sitting will be looking after the well-being of your feline friend.

Q. Can you medicate my cat with tablet or injection?

I can medicate your cat in tablet form but not by injection.

Q. What if insufficient food or litter has been left for my cat

I will shop for food and litter and where possible the same brands purchased: there is an addition fee of £5 per shopping trip plus cost of purchases: I will advise you of this at the time if the situation arises.

Q. What is the process if making a booking for the first time

Complete the enquiry form or email me with your requirements.

I will meet with you and your cat in your own home. It is important at this stage you are happy with your cat’s response to me and the service I will be providing you with.

There will be forms to complete which reflect our all agreements and my service to you and your cat.
